Olla (400ml) terracotta buried watering system

Ollas are an old technology that we think we re-discovered :)

Terracotta/ceramics naturally allow plant roots to draw water to the surface as required, so your roots will not ever be over watered.

You can use terracotta pots but i find then to only be any good in places with alot of space, and plugging hole can be a pain. In addition the large top allows for too much evaporation...so I turned to these. 

What I like is the thin overall shape, stronger terracotta walls than some other brands/varieties and the small opening - large enough to access and look in, small enough to slow evaporation.

Usage note

1. Immerse whole vesil in water overnight.
2. Dig a hole a little bigger than olla.
3. Place in opening / hole so top is exposed (i try and keep them 2-4 cm above mulch level)
4. Fill it up with water and cover the top
